CIDON Interior Design & Contract, experts in interior architecture and decoration, as well as in the management of equipment of FF&E y OS&E or the hotel sector, together with Hotel Investment Partners (HIP), the largest owner of resort hotels in Southern Europe, owned by the Blackstone real estate funds, and the hotel management company of Apple Leisure Group® (ALG), part of Hyatt, has participated in the extensive refurbishment of the wonderful Dreams Corfu Resort & Spa hotel in Greece.
CIDON has executed and advised, together with HIPartners, the project located on the Greek island of Corfu, an idyllic place with its coasts in the Ionian Sea, with a traditional architecture among its ancient olive trees, has created the complex divided into Suites and Deluxe Rooms where Unlimited-Luxury is offered.
HIP has invested approximately €29.2 million to upgrade and transform the hotel, which will be managed under the Dreams® Resorts & Spas by AMR™ Collection brand, including its Unlimited-Luxury® concept. The renovation has included the refurbishment of both all common areas and guest rooms, reinforcing the positioning of this 5-star hotel as one of the most exclusive in Greece.
Within this great project, CIDON has been in charge of the design and FF&E equipment of the 330 rooms, suites, bungalows and common areas, with 7 restaurants and 5 bars, The Core Zone Club, 2 swimming pools, a preferred club lounge, gym, spa. Exceptional quality has been required in all its spaces, one of the greatest challenges that CIDON has achieved in order to offer an atmosphere of relaxation and connection.
The CIDON team, formed by María Angélica Gaggia, Amaranta Acosta García and Alejandra Jiménez, was in charge of the execution and assessment of the design and equipment project.The Dreams Corfu Resort & Spa renovation plan was also supported by Alpha Bank, which provided the financing for the execution of the capital expenditure.
Last summer, the resort opened with 235 rooms, 50 of which are Preferred Club rooms. By this summer, 2023, the hotel is expected to have 337 rooms, 203 of which will be at Preferred Club level. The gastronomic and leisure offer has also been improved to adapt it to the hotel's new category: infinity pool, a la carte restaurants, lobby bar, beach bar, a new entertainment area and a new spa with indoor and outdoor facilities.
Dreams Corfu Resort & Spa is the first Dreams-branded property to open in Greece and offers an Unlimited-Luxury® experience with luxuriously furnished rooms, a selection of international cuisine and a variety of activities. Located on the beachfront, it is situated in the beautiful town of Gouvia, a ten-minute drive from the UNESCO-protected capital of Corfu. Dreams Corfu Resort & Spa offers guests exclusive access to a private dock that includes a wide variety of water sports, as well as other activities and excursions.
This project, which started in December 2021 with Phase I, will finally be ready to receive its customers in May 2023 after the refurbishment of Phase II.
