CIDON Interior Design & Contract, experts in interior architecture and decoration, as well as in FF&E and OS&E equipment management for the hotel sector, announces the completion of the project in Seville for the Hospes Hotels group, owned by Omega Capital and Gaw, and the opening of the hotel on April 1, 2023.

This luxury hotel is part of the chain Hospes Hotels, which has 9 establishments located throughout Spain. Founded in 2000, the chain has managed to consolidate itself as a luxury and exclusivity bet that merges with comfort and wellbeing to make the client feel in a privileged place. The differentiating aspects that set the chain apart from its competitors are: top quality service, proximity and personalization, as well as sustainable development that respects the environment and the personality of each hotel. The chain has a taste for authenticity, and there is nothing more authentic than the local culture, exploring its heritage, customs and, of course, gastronomy. Hospes Hotels as commercial operating company, together with Omega Capital and Gaw as owners, present this project located in Plaza Jesús de la Redención, 2, city of Seville.

Hospes Hotels has selected the company CIDON Interior Design & Contract to carry out the renovation and interior design project of the hotel. Las Casas del Rey de Baeza. CIDON, with Erico Navazo's studio as collaborator, together with CIDON's architect, Alba Vila, more than fulfilled the objective of rehabilitating the 41 rooms, reception and restaurant. They also carried out all the debris removal and construction work in the building, and at the same time manufactured the furniture for its subsequent installation.

With a duration of two and a half months and a rigorous compliance with the stipulated time due to the priority of opening for the Holy Week of Seville, this remodeling has been oriented to renewing spaces and providing new experiences in the different areas of the hotel, such as the rooms, common areas and the Azahar restaurant. All this without distancing itself from the initial spirit of the Andalusian hotel and preserving the highest quality standards.

The renovation and interior design project

Andalusian inspiration perfectly integrated into the hotel's surroundings.

The building was a The building is a former corrala of neighbors of the XVIII century, of three heights and organized around two central patios. The work consisted of the demolition of rooms and common areas, installation of new plumbing and electrical systems. The old coverings have been replaced by new ceramic floors in rooms and solid flooring, recovered from the eighteenth century in the common areas. The wall coverings have been replaced by lime plaster in earth tones, both in rooms and common areas, and all ceilings have been repainted.

In the bathrooms have been replaced with showers, bathtubs, toilets, washbasin furniture and all faucets and accessories.. Finally, the installation of the furniture, both fixed and mobile, and the technical and decorative lighting was carried out.
In the room, an intervention has been carried out through the natural wood furniture, textiles with prints and bright colors that make a nod to the traditional Sevillian decoration, The colorfulness of the city and its surroundings, the most representative fabrics and textures of the culture have been taken into account. There is also a change to a ceramic floor that brings light and freshness to the space, which was not previously available and creates continuity between bedroom and bathroom, since the same floor is used for both rooms. Regarding the In the bathrooms, an attempt has been made to convey a more minimalist image, using microcement as cladding and matte black accessories, which give it a more modern look.

The performance in the common areas has been a challenge, due to the rectangular lozenge shape with very low height, has been a very difficult space to create an appealing interior design. Floors and wall coverings have been changed, following the same criteria as in the rooms, as well as in the reception and in the restaurant, an entire wall of aged mirror has been installed, which provides great amplitude to the space and allows the exterior to be reflected in the interior, achieving a visual effect, where nature is included in the interior of the space. For the furniture and general decoration, several traditional Andalusian touches have been taken into account.

The coordination of the teams involved in the project has been a success., up to 40 people have been working at the same time, dedicated to construction work, electrical installations, plumbing, painting, plastering, microcement, coating, floor changes, carpentry, upholstery and furniture.  All the works have been carried out under the supervision and direction of CIDON architects Alba Vila and Rocío Narváez,  next to the important role of Ezequiel Ferreras, as assembly director also from CIDON's in-house team.

The result of this project has been the total satisfaction both of Hospes, operator of the hotel as well as Omega Capital and Gaw, the property. The objectives set both at the project level and in terms of meeting the requested deadlines have been achieved thanks to the excellent work of all the teams involved, as well as that of the suppliers.
