In the world of hospitality, not all projects age the same way. Some, designed to withstand the passage of time, retain their strength even two decades after opening. Such is the case of the Parador de La Granja in Segovia and the Vincci La Plantación del Sur in Tenerife: two projects in which CIDON Interior Design & Contract combined history, local identity, and contemporary comfort, creating spaces that remain benchmarks of elegance and hospitality today.

Parador de la Granja

Vincci La Plantación del Sur
At the foot of the Sierra de Guadarrama, in the Royal Site of San Ildefonso, the former 18th-century Casa de los Infantes was given new life as a Parador Nacional. The intervention respected the building’s austere, Enlightenment military spirit while at the same time endowing it with an atmosphere of restrained sophistication.
The interiors were conceived to honor history without renouncing modern comfort: corridors with wool carpets that soften the silence of the walls, refined rooms that evoke regal sobriety, and an overall design that exudes understated elegance. Twenty years later, this Parador remains a prime example of how heritage can be reinterpreted without losing authenticity.

On the other side of the country, in Costa Adeje, land once occupied by an old banana plantation was transformed in 2005 into a hotel that marked a turning point in luxury tourism in the Canary Islands: the Vincci La Plantación del Sur. Inspired by Canarian colonial architecture, CIDON’s project defined a style that combined terraced gardens, noble materials, and a spatial narrative imbued with calm and sophistication.
Two decades later, the hotel has renovated its rooms and common areas with a clear vision: enhancing the guest experience without losing the colonial essence that made it unique from the beginning. A reinterpretation that reaffirms the relevance of the original concept and projects it into the future.

Twenty years on, both the Parador de La Granja and the Vincci La Plantación del Sur continue to prove that true innovation lies in creating projects that never expire: spaces designed to endure, remaining references of hospitality long after their first opening.
