CIDON Interior Design & Contract, experts in interior architecture and decoration, as well as in FF&E and OS&E equipment management for the hotel sector, has participated in the remodeling of two hotels located next to Cala Gració in Sant Antoni de Portmany, Ibiza, transforming them into a single 5 star "adults only" hotel called TRS Ibiza (Palladium Hotel Chain), becoming the only one in Europe with these characteristics..
With the aim of creating a unique complex that would bring together spaces with different environments, CIDON has executed the interior design project for TRS Ibiza and the FF&E received from Urcoisa Interior Design, an in-house studio of the Palladium chain. The project has resulted in the union of two totally independent buildings in terms of design and functionality in a single set with total balance and harmony: A hippie bar, a Mediterranean restaurant, a steak house, a roof top where every night a different event takes place overlooking the sunset by Cala Gració, etc. are the different scenarios that currently make up the TRS Ibiza hotel.
The CIDON team has worked to meet all the challenges that this project entailed: it has been in charge of the supply of all the FF&E and fixed furniture of the hotel both in rooms and in common areas; it has coordinated each of its installation teams with the various contractors of the work and has managed all the transportation of the project while there was a worldwide shutdown situation due to covid, national and international transport strike, oil price crisis, war in Ukraine, etc.
The world crisis of materials and transportation has played a decisive role in the development of this project, as we have had to avoid difficulties and budget changes that have forced us to maintain a continuous negotiation with suppliers due to the rising cost of raw materials in the world. It was a great challenge to mediate with all parties to meet the deadlines and ensure that all the spaces were ready on time.
Thanks to CIDON's selection and use of key materials in the project, all these spaces have achieved great coherence and harmony. In the rooms, there are custom-made elements made with national and natural raw materials such as ash and other exotic materials from Indonesia such as teak, rattan or bamboo. Naturtex wicker-type Naturtex and fabrics from Lamadrid and Jover have also been used as furniture coverings. The color palette is made up of natural tones and color accents in coral and blue.
Natural raw materials such as Ibiza stone, teak, rattan and terracotta are used in common areas. Metals such as brass are also used, especially for light fixtures. The custom-made furniture is mostly finished in white and natural tones, with brass details and wavy textures, although the color palette varies according to the area. The Capricho restaurant combines blue and greenish tones with light woods. The Helios restaurant has colors such as blue and white with orange details combined with darker woods. The Gaucho restaurant uses a range of dark blue colors with walnut wood tones. The lobbies of both buildings have taupe and white tones in both upholstery and woodwork.
We cannot forget the carefully designed lighting in each of the restaurants, thanks to the intervention of Fernando Oriol, or other handcrafted lighting fixtures that decorate other spaces, from workshops located in Marseilles or large Italian firms that work with natural materials of great design.
All these combinations and choices made to the smallest detail make guests move directly to the Pitiusas Islands as soon as they arrive and breathe the Mediterranean atmosphere from the first moment in every corner of TRS Ibiza:
The main building, Tanit, had a particularly remarkable civil works intervention since it has a total of 330 rooms distributed over 7 floors, where the facade has been maintained with the original hexagonal terraces so as not to lose the essence of the building. The interior intervention consisted of upgrading the rooms from a 3-star hotel to a 5-star hotel exclusively for adults, using luxury materials and finishes.
The smaller building, Cala Gració, had a minor civil works intervention since it has 50 rooms distributed over 2 floors. The main intervention was on the facade overlooking the garden. On the first floor there is a continuous swimming pool that serves each of the rooms and on the upper floor there is a two-story terrace with a solarium.
The exteriors also have an important civil work intervention, transforming the original pools distributed throughout the complex into two bathing areas: the main and larger one, serving the Tanit building, and the secondary, more secluded one, serving the Cala Gració building.
The complex has a total of about 400 sun loungers and a barbecue area with capacity for 80 customers. The Capricho restaurant on the first floor of the Tanit building, has capacity for 300 customers distributed both indoors and on the terrace. It is a signature restaurant with show cooking that offers breakfast, lunch and dinner service.
The Helios restaurant on the first floor of the Tanit building, has capacity for 160 customers distributed between indoor and terrace. On the terrace, next to the main pool area, there is also a bar area, Gaia Pool Bar, which offers drinks throughout the day.
The Gaucho restaurant on the first floor of the Cala Gració building is the smallest one, with capacity for 100 customers distributed between interior and terrace. It offers a dinner service with a gastronomic style of steak house.
The jewel of TRS Ibiza, the roof top Gravity sky Lounge, has a pool area with 50 sun loungers and 6 daybeds, there is also a terrace and bar area with capacity for 40 customers, which provides cocktail service with live music and shows throughout the day. Zentropia Palladium Spa & Wellness is a treatment and massage area exclusively for hotel guests, with Turkish baths, sauna, steam baths, indoor pools, beauty services and gym.
TRS Ibiza Hotel, recently refurbished and cared to detail, promises a complete revolution in luxury tourism, standing as the only adults only establishment to offer a premium all-inclusive service on the island with all kinds of amenities.
